ICAI to be taken to SC for Exams Cancellation

Few groups are set to take conducting CA exams in July to the Supreme Court.

An advocate representing a group of parents have sent notice to SC to take cognizance of the notification.

Also, a PIL is set to be filed in SC against ICAI on Tuesday, requesting court to cancel July exams.

Another PIL group is also running a campaign to raise Rs.1 Lakh asking students to donate for legal expenses.

When contacted on the matter, an official has quoted to FinApp, 'Considering ICAI is an independent body (unlike CBSE), and one group of students still favourable appearing for exams, chances of ICAI losing are tiny'.
